Stem is formulated to cleanse and condition in the same wash. Cocoa butter, pro-vitamin B5, and rice protein provide conditioning care to help leave hair soft and manageable.
Start with Stem on its own and see how your hair feels. If your hair needs additional moisture or detangling, you can add conditioner where needed.

Right here in San Diego, California. We develop our formulas and manufacture Stem in our own facility, then ship it from San Diego.
How do I use Stem?
Remove the cap and attach it underneath the base. Wet your hair and the bar, work up a lather, massage through your hair, and rinse well. Keep the bar out of standing water and let it dry before covering it for travel. Our illustrated guide shows how to open and adjust the protective shell.
What are the caps and bases made from?
The cap and base are made from our proprietary spruce-wood and natural-sap material. The base gives you a grip and keeps the bar elevated; the cap covers the bar for travel once it’s dry.

How long does a bar last?
A full-size Stem Hair bar offers up to 120 washes. How long it lasts depends on your hair’s length, how much and how often you use it, and storage. Let it dry between uses and keep it out of standing water. Stem Body usage will vary too.
What comes with each bar?
Every full-size Stem Hair bar is 4.6 oz and comes with its beeswax shell, base, and cap. Stem Body is a 6.5 oz cleansing and exfoliating bar with its own shell, base, and cap.
Can I mix Hair and Body, and how do the bundle discounts work?
Yes. Keep a few, gift a few, and mix full-size Hair and Body bars in your favorite scents. The bundle page shows the current deals and your savings as you choose. Minis are excluded.
